What are DuraBase Composite Mats?

DuraBase bog mats, also known as DuraBase composite mats, are heavy-duty ground protection and temporary roadway panels used in construction, oil & gas, utilities, renewable energy, and remote access work sites. They are designed to create stable working surfaces over soft, muddy, uneven, or environmentally sensitive terrain. Available in both Standard Duty (SD) and Heavy Duty (HD) variants, these mats provide a versatile solution for any project requirement.

• Reusable platforms and roads in place of traditional methods of trucking aggregates or building concrete pads

• A single semi-trailer can hold up to 420sqm worth of mat coverage. Composite matting can reduce or replace the need for single-use materials, reducing overall landfill waste.

• Reduce emissions from overall truck movements required to deliver, refill, and remove the equivalent amount of aggregates and fill material.

• Dura-Base mats are made of non-porous HDPE, which minimises the risk of cross-contamination while working in sensitive sites.

• Helps to preserve any underlying plant root substructure for an optimal chance of regrowth. It also prevents equipment from rutting the ground and potentially exposing acid sulphate soils to the air.

• Laying down Dura-Base mats does not generate dust compared to installing and topping off crushed rock pads. They also act as a layer of dust suppression.
